
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 21-year-old man was shot and killed at the Ingersoll Houses in Downtown Brooklyn late Friday night, according to police.
The shooting took place near the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and St. Edwards Street around 11:06 p.m., officials said.
When officers arrived, they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and right leg.
EMS rushed the man to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity pending notification of his family.
Officers took a 22-year-old man into custody as a person of interest. No charges have been filed yet.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
