Man, 23, killed in early morning Queens shooting, suspect at-large

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in Queens early Saturday morning, according to police.

The man was shot around 2:07 a.m. near the intersection of Selover Road and Merrick Boulevard in St. Albans, officials said.

Officers found him unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his torso.

EMS rushed the man to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Officials are withholding his identity pending notification of his family.

Police have not yet made any arrests, and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
