
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect who robbed a woman of her cellphone at a Bronx subway station last week, authorities said.
At approximately 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, a 40-year-old woman was walking down the stairs of the 2,5 line at Prospect Avenue located on East 160 St. in Woodstock when the suspect approached her and grabbed her Apple iPhone 11 cellphone from her hands, officials said.

A brief struggle ensued and the victim sustained an injury to finger on her right hand as well as scratches to the chest, police said.
The suspect fled the location on foot, west bound along Westchester Avenue, officials said.
The victim refused further medical treatment at the scene.
Authorities described the suspect as an adult man, average build, wearing all black; black shoes, black pants, a black jacket and a black hat.
Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect obtained from inside the Jackson Avenue/Westchester Avenue 2, 5 line subway station, after the incident.
