VIDEO: Man, 53, followed, beaten with metal object on Bronx street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released surveillance video of a man wanted for following and beating a man with a metal object after a dispute in the Bronx, earlier this week, authorities said.

A 53-year-old man was engaged in a verbal dispute with the suspect on Wednesday, June 1, at approximately 6 p.m., inside of 2460 Davidson Ave. in Fordham Manor, officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim left the location and was followed by the suspect to 14 West Fordham Road.

The suspect then approached the victim from behind and began striking him in the head and hand with an unknown metal object, cops said.

The individual fled the location to parts unknown. EMS responded and transported the aided victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, in stable condition.
