
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 45-year-old man is fighting for his life after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Queens early Tuesday morning.

The crash—which came about a day after another man was killed in a Queens hit-and-run—happened shortly after 2 a.m. in Elmhurst.
The victim was crossing 76th Street at Roosevelt Avenue when he was struck by a dark-colored Honda sedan whose driver kept going, police said.
Officers responding to a 911 call found him lying on the street unconscious with severe body trauma.
EMS rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.
The NYPD’s collision squad is investigating the crash. No arrests have been reported as of Tuesday.
On Sunday evening, 74-year-old Be Tran was struck and killed as he crossed a street in Ridgewood, according to police, who said the driver of the BMW that struck him fled the scene.
About five hours before the Ridgewood crash, a 36-year-old woman was critically injured by a hit-and-run Mercury driver reversing down a street in Crown Heights, Brookyln.
