
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man who beat a man unconscious inside the elevator of a Bronx apartment building earlier this month, authorities said Thursday.
At approximately 3:48 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, a 75-year-old man was entering the elevator in the lobby of a building located at 1600 Sedgwick Ave. in Morris Heights when he got into a verbal dispute with the suspect, cops said.
According to officials, the suspect punched the victim in the face, causing him to hit his head on the side of the elevator and fall to the ground.
The suspect then proceeded to kick the victim numerous times on his right side of his body before fleeing to parts unknown.
The victim was knocked unconscious and he sustained injuries to his right eye as well as bruising to the entire right side of his body.
EMS transported him to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, black Adidas pants with white lettering and black and white Adidas slippers.
