Police said Carlos Luciano allegedly broke into an area adjacent to the commanding officer's office inside the 52nd Precinct on Webster Avenue before personnel discovered him at around 10 p.m.
Luciano allegedly ran through the station after being discovered, but was eventually apprehended.
He allegedly entered through a first-floor window that has since been damaged.
Authorities said it remains unclear what his motive was or what he actually stole.
Luciano is charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
