NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man was dragged for an entire city block and run over by his own car during a carjacking in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday, police said as they released photos of two suspects.

The 34-year-old victim left his car running at 100 Lafayette St. on the border of Tribeca and Chinatown as he briefly stopped at a business at 9:25 a.m.

Two thieves descended on the idling car and hopped inside, but the victim noticed and tried to stop them by grabbing onto the vehicle, police said.

The victim was dragged one block by the fleeing car before he was thrown to the pavement and run over by it near White Street.
