
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect accused of following a woman then attempting to pull down her pants in a Brooklyn sex attack early Thursday, authorities said.
at approximately 4:30 a.m., a 22-year-old woman boarded a Brooklyn-bound L train inside of the 1st Avenue station in the East Village, where the suspect also boarded the same car, officials said.
The victim exited the train at the Graham Avenue station in Williamsburg, where the suspect began to follow her, attempting to begin a conversation with her, the NYPD said.
The suspect then forced the victim into the lobby of an apartment building in the vicinity of Graham Avenue and Grand Street, where police said he began to pull the victim's pants down and attempted to perform a criminal sex act on her.
The victim resisted and a struggle ensued, and the suspect fled the location to parts unknown.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
