NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man forced a woman to a sidewalk and snatched an iPhone from her hand in a robbery this week in Lower Manhattan, police said Wednesday as they released video of a suspect.

The 57-year-old victim was walking at Catherine and Cherry Streets in the Two Bridges neighborhood just after 5 a.m. Tuesday when the man approached from behind and pushed her to the ground.

As she was lying on the sidewalk, the man stole her phone from her hand, police said.

The woman suffered minor injuries to the right side of her face. She refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspect fled on foot but was captured in the area by a surveillance camera, police said. He’s believed to be between 25 and 35 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
