NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man was pushed down a flight of stairs and mugged at knifepoint by robbers at a Queens subway station, police said Wednesday as they released photos of the two suspects.

The 30-year-old victim was walking up a stairwell at the 169th Street station in Jamaica just before 11:30 p.m. last Wednesday when his attackers shoved him down the stairs.

One of them then brandished a knife and demanded money from him, police said.

The victim told them he didn’t have any cash, so they grabbed his cellphone from his hand and fled the station with it, according to police.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack.

Police believe the suspects are in their 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
