
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- One man was shot in the face and another was slashed in the head as chaos erupted outside a Brooklyn deli on Monday afternoon, police said.
Shots rang out shortly before 3:30 p.m. at Granville Payne and Blake avenues in East New York.
The 24-year-old shooting victim was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in critical condition.
The 23-year-old slashing victim was also hospitalized and is expected to survive.
The circumstances surrounding the violence weren't immediately clear, but two male suspects fled the scene and remained at large on Tuesday, police said.
