NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man broke the arm of a 63-year-old woman in an unprovoked attack on a West Village street over the weekend, police said Monday.

The NYPD released images of the suspect they're searching for in Friday night's assault at West 11th Street and Sixth Avenue.

The victim was walking at 9:30 p.m. when her attacker came up and made an "unknown statement" to her. He then shoved her to the ground, police said.

She broke her right arm in the fall and also suffered lacerations to her left knee and bruising to her right hand, according to police.

She was transported by private means to Lenox Hill Hospital.

The suspect fled on foot, according to cops, who said he was last seen headed southbound on Sixth Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
