
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released surveillance footage of a suspect wanted for hitting a man with a metal baton at an Upper East Side subway station earlier this week, authorities said.
It happened just before 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, on the mezzanine of the 86th Street 1 train station, officials said.
According to officials, the suspect approached a 19-year-old man and struck him in the head with a metal baton in an apparently unprovoked assault.
The suspect then fled the train station.
EMS treated the victim on scene.
