Authorities said the incident happened around 4 p.m. at the bank on West 4th Street and Sixth Avenue.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, around 50 to 60 years old, and was last seen wearing a green jacket.
Cops are unsure how much, if anything, was stolen at this time.
