Man, woman in their 60s beaten, robbed in elevator at NYC subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for two women who beat and robbed a man and woman in their 60s in the elevator of a Manhattan subway station last month.

The brazen attack happened at the West 4th Street-Washington Square station around 8 p.m. on May 26.

The duo approached the 64-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman inside the subway station’s elevator, repeatedly beat them and forcibly removed a cellphone from the male victim when he tried taking their photograph shortly after being assaulted.

EMS transported the victims to Lenox Health Greenwich Village for treatment of their injuries. Their assailants fled the scene on a southbound F train.
