NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 29-year-old woman held off a would-be rapist who exposed himself, beat and robbed her on a Manhattan subway train, police said Sunday as they posted images of the suspect.

Police said the man approached the victim with "his penis exposed and attempted to force oral sex" on a southbound J train at the Chambers Street station around 9:10 p.m. Friday.

He then punched her and pinned her to the ground, where he allegedly tried to undress her.

The suspect forcibly removed the victim's smartphone, money and keys.

He remained on the train while the victim managed to flee to safety. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
