NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A group of suspects are being sought for beating a security guard at a Bronx store who attempted to stop them from stealing a microwave last week.
Just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, the suspects were inside of the Dollar Discount Party Store located at 700 Exterior St. in Concourse, when they took a microwave from the store and attempted to leave without paying for it.
According to police, when a 64-year-old security guard attempted to stop the group from exiting the store, the suspects punched him in the face causing serious physical injury.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.
