NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A mother and her 8-year-old son were struck by a driver in Queens on Monday afternoon and hospitalized, the NYPD said.
A 21-year-old male driver was making a left turn when he struck the 34-year-old woman and her son at 14th Avenue and College Point Boulevard in College Point.
The woman had ankle and hip pain. The boy had ankle pain.
They were taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in stable condition. They are expected to survive.
The driver remained on the scene.
