NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD on Tuesday released an image from surveillance video of the suspect in an attempted rape of an 18-year-old woman on a subway car in Harlem.

The attacker followed the teenager onto southbound 2 train leaving the 125th Street subway station just before midnight on Sunday, according to police.

He exposed himself and tried to pull down the victim’s pants, but a good Samaritan intervened and helped her escape to another subway car, officials said.

The would-be rapist fled the train at the 42nd Street subway station, according to authorities.

The victim reportedly traveled by private means to Kings County Hospital Center for treatment.
