NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The city is giving an extension to “Saturday Night Live” castmates Pete Davidson and Colin Jost to find a docking spot for the Staten Island Ferry they purchased and plan on turning into a comedy club.

On Saturday, the vessel was still moored on city property near the St. George ferry terminal over 10 business days past the allotted time.

Comedy club owner Paul Italia who is partnering with the SNL duo to convert the ferry into a comedy club told The New York Post that City Hall has granted them an extension.

“They’re working with us,” Italia said. “They know it’s not an easy task, and they are being very helpful.”

The duo, who were both born and raised on Staten Island, purchased the 5,200-person capacity John F. Kennedy Ferry at an auction last month for $280,100.

The ferry will be moved to a pier in Brooklyn or Staten Island, where it will sit while renovations are done and a permanent location for it is found.
