SYRACUSE (1010 WINS) -- Syracuse sports fans booed Pete Davidson as he attended a weekend game in the upstate city that he once called "trash" and "worse than Staten Island."

Boos filled the Carrier Dome as the "Saturday Night Live" star appeared on a jumbotron during Saturday's basketball game between the Syracuse Orange and the Louisville Cardinals, video shows.
Davidson, 28, was seen bundled in a hoodie and Syracuse winter hat as fans laid on the jeers.
After filming "Big Time Adolescence" in Syracuse in 2018, Davidson told "The Howard Stern Show" that the city is "worse" than his native borough of Staten Island.
"Dude, I was shooting this movie out in Syracuse. Syracuse, you know, it's trash," Davidson said. "Worse than Staten Island. The nicest hotel in Syracuse is like a f***ing Ramada."
A season ticket holder at Saturday's game told Page Six that Davidson "seemed to be prepared for what was coming to him."
"He brushed it off and had a laugh, as did the locals," the fan said.
The "SNL" comedian offered a truce to fans in a video message "for the city of Syracuse" posted by sports reporter Mike Curtis.
"Thank you so much for having me and my friends in the building. We had a really great time. So… peace?" Davidson said.
