NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- An off-duty NYPD officer fatally shot another man and then himself outside of a bar upstate Sunday night, officials said.
The murder-suicide occurred at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Wallkill at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to News 12.
Police sources told The Daily News that the shooting may have been over a woman.
According to the report, the officer was driving a vehicle while following his wife and her boyfriend, who were both in another vehicle, when he crashed into them.
The boyfriend got out of the damaged vehicle and ran but the cop chased him down and fatally shot him, the report said.
The officer then fatally shot himself.
New York State Police and Town of Wallkill Police did not provide information regarding the incident.
