Queens attacker punches, demands money from man, 75, who he bumped into

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect who beat a man during an attempted robbery on a Queens street Thursday morning, authorities said.

At approximately 10:15 a.m., in front of 37-69 74th St. in Jackson Heights, a 75-year-old man was walking when the suspect bumped into him and demanded money, officials said.

The suspect then proceeded to push and punch the victim in the face.

He then fled the location southbound on 74th Street towards Roosevelt Avenue.

EMS transported the victim to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a man with a medium complexion, approximately 30 years of age, 5'9", heavy build, short black and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts and blue shoes.
