Scooter driver, 45, fatally struck by truck in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A scooter driver was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning, police said.

The victim, an unidentified 45-year-old man, was found dead just before 6 a.m. at Grand Street and Graham Avenue in Williamsburg.

The scooter driver was turning south onto Grand Street when he was struck by the 2017 Ford pickup, whose driver was traveling in the same direction, police said.

The pickup’s driver, a 28-year-old man, stayed at the scene after the crash.

No charges have been reported as an investigation continues, police said.

No other injuries were immediately reported.
