Scooter rider, 32, killed in Harlem hit-and-run, driver sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 32-year-old man riding a scooter in Harlem Monday night was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver, officials said.

According to police, at approximately 10 p.m., the victim was riding along Frederick Douglass Boulevard, near 155th Street when he was struck by a passing vehicle, causing him to be thrown off the scooter.

The victim was transported to Harlem Hospital, where he died early Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.

Authorities have not yet released the victim's name.

There have been no arrests made and an investigation remains ongoing.
