Officers responding to a 911 call at the West Fourth Street–Washington Square station just after midnight found the body near stairs in an area off the platform, according to police.
The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, had lacerations to his torso.
It’s unclear how long the corpse may have been there.
