Suspect who robbed UPS worker delivering on Staten Island sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man that robbed a UPS worker attempting to make a delivery on Staten Island last month, authorities said.

At approximately 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, a 56-year-old UPS employee was attempting to make a delivery in front of 2348 Richmond Rd. , when he was approached by the suspect who claimed the package belonged to him.

The UPS employee refused to release the package to the suspect, who then forcibly stole the package from him.

The suspect fled southbound on 3rd Street in possession of the stolen package, which contained a credit card.

The UPS employee was not injured.

The suspect has a tattoo under his eye and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and green sneakers, officials said.
