On Dec. 8 at about 1:40 a.m., two people stopped their car in front of a 54-year-old man’s parked car while he stood next to it at 1240 Grant Ave.

The suspects told the victim they were police officers and that his car was reported stolen, cops said.

One of the suspects then knocked the victim down to the ground, got in the driver’s seat of the victim’s car and drove away northbound on Grant Highway, according to police.

The other suspect fled inside their own vehicle in the same direction.

Police said the victim’s vehicle ended up being recovered on Cromwell Avenue, less than a mile away.
