VIDEO: Man shoots up Brooklyn jewelry store, wounds worker in wild robbery fail

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A gun-wielding man entered a Brooklyn jewelry store and started shooting, wounding a worker Sunday afternoon before fleeing the shop with nothing, police said.

The NYPD released video Monday showing the gun-wielding crook blasting off shots in the entrance of A&M Jewelry on Fifth Avenue in Sunset Park.

Police said the man stormed into the store just before 2 p.m. and immediately started firing while demanding valuables.

A 24-year-old employee was grazed in the torso by a bullet during the frenzied robbery attempt.

EMS transported the worker in stable condition to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn.

The suspect took off empty-handed down Fifth Avenue towards 49th Street, police said.
