WANTED: Trio of subway bandits who assaulted, robbed man, 18, in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a trio of suspects who fractured an 18-year-old's face when he was punched then robbed aboard a Brooklyn subway train last week, authorities said.

It happened at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Friday, February 3, the victim, an 18-year-old man, was on board a southbound D train heading toward the Stillwell Avenue subway station in Coney Island.

According to police, three suspects approached the victim and punched him in the face then stole his cell phone before fleeing at the subway station.

The victim sustained fractures to the face and was removed by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island in stable condition.
