NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was raped in Chelsea on Thursday night by a man who led her into a courtyard, police said.
NYPD officers responding to a 911 call around 10:45 p.m. found the 37-year-old victim with scratches on her face and back at West 26th Street and Ninth Avenue.
She told the officers that a man in his 20s led her to the courtyard at 350 West 26th St. and then raped her, police said.
The address is a church, although it's unclear if the courtyard is at the church or a neighboring apartment building.

EMS transported the victim to Lenox Health Greenwich Village in stable condition.
No arrests had been reported as of Friday.
Police said the suspect fled eastbound on West 26th Street after the attack.
He’s believed to be about 5 feet, 4 inches tall with black, curly hair and a large nose ring, according to cops.
