Woman entering Bronx home shoved, robbed of $700, suspect at large

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released an image on Tuesday of a suspect wanted for robbing a woman as she was entering her Bronx residence last month, authorities said.

Just before 6 p.m. on Monday, March 13, a 39-year-old woman was entering her residence near the vicinity of East 177th Street and Jerome Avenue in Morris Heights when the suspect followed her into the building, officials said.

The suspect then approached her from behind and reached into her pocket.

A physical altercation ensued and the suspect stole approximately $700 from the victim's pocket and shoved her.

The suspect then fled the location on foot, heading eastbound toward Walton Avenue.

There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, blue hooded sweatshirt, gray knit cap and light sneakers.
