NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A woman walking home in Queens this week was punched into unconsciousness and raped by a man in an attack that left her hospitalized in serious condition, police said Wednesday.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the man they're searching for in Sunday morning's rape on the border of Woodside and Maspeth.
The 49-year-old victim was walking home around 5 a.m. when her attacker approached on the scooter.
The man started up a conversation with the woman, apparently to offer her a ride, and she got onto the back of his scooter, police said.

He drove her to 48th Avenue and 72nd Street, where he attacked her.
He punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground, where she hit her head and lost consciousness.
He then raped her while she was unconscious, police said.
As the victim was regaining consciousness, she saw the man driving away on the scooter.
She was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
