WEST NEW YORK, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Officials charged a 19-year-old man with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl inside a New Jersey apartment over the weekend, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Monday.
Marcos Quexordon, 19, of West New York was charged with sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
The crime allegedly occurred in a West New York apartment Saturday, April 29, and Quexordon was arrested Monday following an investigation by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Suarez said.
Officials said Quexordon knew the victim.
Quexordon was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
The state has filed a motion for detention, scheduled for Thursday, May 4.
