NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty NYPD school safety agent was killed, and two others were wounded during a shooting early Thursday morning at a bar in Queens.

Police said gunfire erupted around 4:10 a.m. at Solletto on Steinway Street, near Astoria Boulevard North, in Astoria.
During the incident, off-duty NYPD school safety agent Maya Johnson, 27, sustained gunshot wounds to her torso and lower body.
She was immediately transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Officials said Johnson was at the nightclub celebrating her birthday with two friends, a 27-year-old woman and 27-year-old man, both of whom were also struck by gunfire.
The female friend was shot in the left leg and the male friend was struck in the buttocks and left shoulder, authorities said. The two were also transported to the hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
NYPD officials stressed that information is preliminary and subjected to change.
No arrests have been made as of Thursday afternoon, and authorities are still working to confirm how many gunmen were at the scene.
While reports said that one suspect may have fled in a white BMW, authorities said there were many vehicles seen at the club, and investigators are still canvasing surveillance footage.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit their tips on the CrimeStoppers website.
