Man, 63, killed in LI 2-car crash: police

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 63-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, Suffolk County police said.

David Martinez was driving a Chevrolet Impala westbound on Commander Avenue in West Babylon around 5:30 a.m. when he attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Straight Path and was struck by a GMC Acadia.

Martinez was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.

Apostolides, 18, was not injured, police said. He has not been charged at this time.
