IRVINGTON, N.J. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A New Jersey man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 12-year-old girl off a street and sexually assaulting her in his home, prosecutors announced Tuesday.

Keith Ashley-Drake, 52, faces charges of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office.

The girl was walking home from the movies in Irvington around 10 p.m. on March 17 when Ashley-Drake allegedly drove up.

He coaxed her into his vehicle and drove her to his home in Fanwood, where he sexually assaulted her the following day, prosecutors said.

It's unclear when or how the girl returned home, but prosecutors said an investigation led to Ashley-Drake being identified as the suspect. He was arrested on March 31.

He was being held in the Essex County Jail ahead of a detention hearing Wednesday.

Prosecutors said the investigation is ongoing and are urging anyone with information to contact Union County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit Sergeant Nick Veltre at (908) 347-7330 and Detective Craig Famoso at (908) 578-1036.
