PATERSON, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A man is dead and a woman is seriously injured after an early morning shooting in New Jersey, NJ Advance reported.

The shooting happened around 1:47 a.m. near Belle Avenue and Hopper Street in Paterson, according to police.
Responding officers found the two victims, a 45-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, with gunshot wounds, officials said.
Both were taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where the man was pronounced dead and the woman is in critical condition.
