NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Jerry Seinfeld is known to win races, even when high school rival Duncan Meyer accuses him of getting a head start. Now Jerry is getting a head start in helping Kathy Hochul try to win her race for governor.

Seinfeld was among Hochul’s biggest donors, according to docs showing those who contributed to her campaign. He gave $50,000 to her run for the governor’s mansion beyond 2022.
That’s among the top 50 most lucrative contributions on the latest filing’s from Hochul’s campaign, which raised over $21 million during that time, which they said broke a record set by George Pataki 20 years ago.
Seinfeld’s doesn’t have any pother contributions on record. He’s a registered Democrat.
Other big names betting on Hochul include Mets owner Steve Cohen and his wife, who sent in over $136,000, New York Islanders owner Jon Ledecky for $50,000, ex-Empire State Development CEO Howard Zemsky and his wife, who donated $50,000 and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, who also gave more than $50,000.
Over thirty people donated the legal limit to give — $69,700.
Hochul’s Democratic opponents didn’t come close to her fundraising numbers — with Rep. Tom Suozzi raking in over $3 million, while New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams only was just over $200,000.
Her non-monetary numbers look good too — holding an over 30-point lead in the latest Siena poll, and her closest rival was Bill be Blasio, who announced this week he won’t be in the governor’s race.
