
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating the death of a 45-year-old motorcyclist who was struck by a vehicle on Long Island on Sunday night, authorities said.
According to detectives, at about at 7:40 p.m., a 45-year-old man was driving a 2013 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Peninsula Boulevard in Hempstead when he was struck by a 2014 Honda Accord driven by a 72-year-old woman as she attempted a left turn onto Grove Street.
The man was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A brake safety check was performed on the Honda Accord at the scene.
No arrests have been reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
