NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman was arrested following an investigation over a fire at a Long Island residence early Sunday morning, authorities said.
According to detectives, at 2:15 a.m. officers responded to a fire at residential home located on Sherman Avenue in Williston Park.
Upon arrival, officials were notified about a small fire that had started on the roof of the home.
The fire was extinguished prior to police arrival, authorities said.
No injuries were reported to police and no structural damage to the home.
After a thorough investigation, 35-year-old Maria Garcia was arrested without incident.
Garcia is charged with attempted arson, and arson and was arraigned on Sunday.
