The Atlanta Flacons have developed the identity of a running team, they currently are the 4th best rushing team in the NFL, and opponents are adjusting and now the Falcons will have to adjust back.
Atlanta Falcons Offensive Coordinator Dave Ragone details the Falcons offensive identity and making teams still defend and respect their passing game.
"When you talk about the intent and style with which we want to play, defenses are obviously aware of our identity. I think the one thing we continue to press upon each other as coaches and as players is continuing to look to ways to evolve, says OC Dave Ragone. "The reality is every good offense and defense typically has an identity, what they want to do, and they have to have counter-pitches off of that identity."
There's been no shortage of discussion about the offense's lack of production from WR Drake London and TE Kyle Pitts, a pair of top 10 draft picks who have been unable to remain consistently involved in the offense.
