PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It appeared Kenny Pickett had escaped major injury, but ended up leaving the game against the Ravens and went into concussion protocol

The play happened on third down of the first series. Pickett avoided the first rusher, but as he ran out to his right he was one-on-one with NFL All-Pro linebacker Roquan Smith. Pickett was whipped to the ground and slowly came off the field.

The Steelers rookie would come in for the next series, but after a three-and-out was replaced by Mitch Trubisky.

It’s the second time in Pickett’s career he went into concussion protocol, it also happened in the October game against the Dolphins.
