PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It’s time. Disturbing first tweet, ok, you talk with him and explain the situation. It followed with a few others and now a tweet about ‘welcome to the mind of a psycho’.

It’s time for the Steelers to suspend Devin Bush.

Make it for a day or two of camp, for the first preseason game.  If he posts anything else disturbing; for a real game.

It’s really not that hard, Bush will likely be limited anyway coming back from his knee injury.  If you are the Steelers brass, you need to show that this type of stuff won’t be tolerated.

While most of his comments are innocuous, the cat video wasn’t even remotely funny or thought provoking.  And the comments about being a psycho were out of line enough that the Steelers defensive captain had to publicly tell him to calm down.

It shows whatever the Steelers or his teammates have told him.  Bush is not listening.  The team wants, understandably, to keep these issues in house.  Obviously they are not able to do that with Bush.  It’s not as if Cam Heyward doesn’t have his number.

How about a day, days or week with no pay for conduct detrimental to the team.

Here is what most people who throw it in your face that they have the freedom to say what they want tell you.  It’s the First Amendment.  It’s my right.  It’s true, you have the freedom of speech, but you don’t have the freedom from consequence.

If you don’t think this is true, go tell your boss to F-off.  You have the freedom to do it.  Go ahead and walk in and tell your superior that.  See what happens.

When Heyward felt the need to tweet publicly at Bush it shows it’s a problem.  This team has dealt with these types of issues before.  They were too lenient with players becoming a distraction on social media.

Bush has the potential to be a great player.  He is a key to their season, potentially the last for an all-time great quarterback.  Time for the team to make sure he is not a distraction.  Time for discipline.
