Speaking during his weekly press conference on Tuesday, that Pickett is in the concussion protocol and that “his work won’t be limited in any way.”

Tomlin adds, “If he’s cleared to play, he’ll play,” said Tomlin “(Pickett) will play quarterback for us.

Pickett is expected to be a full participant when the Steelers begin practice preparations on Wednesday.

Tomlin says he, along with Mitch Trubisky will be practicing at their facility on the South Side.

Tomlin said the decision to stick with Pickett is because he is the starting quarterback currently and they want to

Pickett went 11 for 18 against the Bucs with one touchdown. He had 67 yards before the concussion, with a quarterback rating of 87.0

Trubisky, who came into the game in the third quarter, went 9 for 12 with one touchdown and 144 yards with a passers rating of 142.4.

Trubisky looked more sure of himself in relief, prompting some to wonder if he would get the start against Miami, but Tomlin said he is confident in Pickett and trusts the medical experts that say Pickett is progressing nicely.
