The recent sexual assault allegations against Deshaun Watson have resulted in the NFL conducting its own internal investigation.

Tony Buzbee, the attorney for the women who are filing suits against the Houston Texans, posted a photo of a letter from the NFL’s special counsel, Lisa M. Friel, on his Instagram story Thursday which informed him of the league’s investigation.

Buzbee has since deleted the image from his story, but screengrabs of the letter surfaced on social media. The letter asks Buzbee for his client’s cooperation in their investigation and for the league to engage in Zoom interviews with them.

Buzbee has filed three civil lawsuits against Watson, 25, which consist of multiple massage therapists accusing the quarterback of sexual misconduct, including one woman who claims she was forced in engaging in a sexual act with the quarterback.

Buzbee also posted on Instagram that nine women have contacted him about Watson and more suits are to follow.

Watson has vehemently denied these allegations.

The allegations also come amid the heart of NFL free agency and at a time where Watson wants to be traded from Houston.

The Texans have been reluctant about trading the star quarterback despite his unhappiness.
