Love was in the air last night as the Dallas Mavericks took on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Not only was it Kyrie Irving's home debut for the Mavs, but it was a particularly special day for Arkansas couple Bride Ellyn Piatt and Reid Malone, who got married right at center court of the American Airlines Center during halftime!
The Mavericks told WFAA it was the first wedding to happen midcourt during an NBA game ever!
The couple's wedding was officiated by broadcaster Mark Followill, who also happens to be an ordained minister!
Followill made sure to drop plenty of basketball puns during the ceremony!
The Mavs run deep for Piatt and Malone, as Malone actually proposed to Piatt at a Mavs game in December 2021 at midcourt!
Malone said that Piatt told him she would love to be proposed to at a game and the rest was history.
"She said it multiple times," he said. "She said it would be awesome to get engaged in front of thousands of people and so it just made sense to do it here."
