According to TMZ, Grohl showed up at the Hope The Mission in Los Angeles around midnight Wednesday with some overnight gear and a massive meat smoke, and spent the next 16 hours cooking up ribs, pork butt, brisket, cabbage, coleslaw, and beans.

After cooking, Dave spent time chatting with staffers and people living at the shelter.

All in all, he fed around 500 people.
