Last week, 41-year-old Sarah Beam of Houston thought her 13-year-old son contracted Covid, so she stuffed him in the car to drive him to a testing facility.

And when we say "stuffed," we really mean stuffed.

Scared of getting the virus from her son, Beam locked her son in the trunk of her car to drive him to the testing site! Officials working at the site said they couldn't do anything until her son was safe in the backseat, so Beam reluctantly let him into the car to proceed with the test.

And if that wasn't bad enough, the testing site was at a Cy-Fair ISD school, and Beam is a teacher in the district!

According to Click2Houston, Beam was charged with felony child endangerment and was taken into custody Saturday afternoon. She's currently out after posting a $1,500 bond.

No word of her teenaged son actually felt about the ride in the trunk.
